The Class and Lecture Availability Student Survey (CLASS) is a student initiated, student organized, and student run university-wide survey.
In the spring of 2010, the UC Santa Cruz Commissioner of Academic Affairs conducted a campus wide survey focusing on class availability and the effects of the budget crisis on the quality of undergraduate education from the prospective of students. The results of this survey gave great insight into the crisis that is currently facing UCSC.
The 2011 CLASS survey provided the opportunity for all University of California undergraduate students to quantify the impact of class availability on the quality of their education.
